Keith Feingold
CEO
Keith is a seasoned global executive and software industry veteran who brings to Skytide more than 25 years in executive leadership and management experience in the software industry. As CEO he is responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s worldwide business.
Before joining Skytide, Keith was CEO and President of Contivo where he evolved the company's direction and strategy, increasing its customer base from one to over fifty brand name companies in less than two years and establishing Contivo as a category leader. Prior to Contivo he was EVP of WW Sales and Marketing at NetKey, growing the sales and marketing organization three-fold while increasing worldwide revenues dramatically. While VP of Sales at Mercator, a provider of enterprise-wide integration software solutions, Keith was instrumental in Mercator's IPO and revenue growth to more than $140 million. Keith also has held executive level positions at leading technology companies including Sybase, Oracle, Image Business Systems and XA Systems. Keith holds a Bachelor degree in business from University of Arizona.
Joseph Rozenfeld
Co-Founder and Vice President of Strategy & Solutions
Joseph is responsible for shaping the company’s strategic vision and technologies to meet the fast-growing needs of the business intelligence marketplace. Joseph has more than 20 years of software development and management experience and has founded or co-founded four companies including Skytide and ChainCast Networks.
As executive vice president and CTO of ChainCast Networks, the first provider of commercial peer-to-peer software for broadcast streaming, he grew the company into the largest streaming provider for terrestrial radio broadcasters in the U.S. with a client list including ClearChannel, NTT, Cox, and ABC. Joseph was also a founding engineer, development manager and architect of Essbase and IBM DB2 OLAP servers at Hyperion Solutions (formerly Arbor Software). Joseph holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Polytechnique University.
Nat Wyatt
Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering
A 20-year veteran of the database industry, Nat leads the software development and engineering efforts for Skytide. In 1996, Nat co-founded Cloudscape, developer of the first Java ORDBMS, which was later acquired by Informix Software, and in turn acquired by IBM. At Cloudscape, Nat defined the architecture and implemented most of the storage system of the Cloudscape DBMS, the technology now provided by IBM as open source though the Apache Derby project.
Prior to Cloudscape, Nat led development projects at Sybase, Oracle, and Sequent. At Sybase, he defined the symmetric multiprocessing architecture (SMP) for Sybase SQL Server, and wrote a large section of the kernel and access level code for SMP support. Nat holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Princeton University.
Tom Furlong
Managing Director, Granite Ventures
Tom Furlong joined Granite Ventures in July 2000, after a successful career in Silicon Valley where he most recently served as Vice President and General Counsel at Zhone Technologies, a communications equipment provider. Tom began working with Granite Ventures in 1988 and has also worked closely with Adobe Ventures. His many years spent collaborating with a wide variety of technology companies give him a diverse industry network and make him a strong and trusted advisor to his portfolio companies. He focuses his investments in software.
Prior to Zhone, Tom was a partner with the leading emerging-growth company law firm of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich, where he spent 13 years counseling technology companies, venture capitalists, and investment banks. His clients included Adobe, Applied Signal, Ascend Communications, Datapath, Network General, Silicon Spice, SynOptics, Vantive, and Visigenic. While at Gray Cary, Tom was also a manager of their investment partnerships and sponsored several profitable investments.
Tom currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Above All Software, Biz360, Digital Fountain, Five Across, and TuVox. Tom holds a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from Northwestern University.
Scott Irwin
General Partner, El Dorado Ventures
Since joining El Dorado Ventures in 2000, where he focuses his investments in software, Scott Irwin has been involved with EDV investments including Nextance, TriActive, Sana Security, MediaQ (acquired by nVidia) and Torrex (acquired by Applied Materials).
Prior to El Dorado, Scott held software engineering and product management positions with Accenture, where he developed and managed enterprise software products targeting the energy industry. While at Accenture, Scott co-authored the firm's guide to Internet technologies in 1998, which was distributed to all Accenture's 65,000 employees worldwide. Scott also managed relationships with several venture-backed startups including application server companies such as Kiva/Netscape, NetDynamics/Sun, and WebLogic/BEA; middleware companies such as IONA and Visigenic; content management companies including Vignette and Broadvision; as well as leading IDE vendors.
His early career experience was with the communications systems division of Rockwell International, later acquired by Alcatel. Scott received a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Venture Fellow and Welsh Scholar.
Thomas Keffer, PhD
Thomas Keffer, PhD, is an executive board member of Skytide, Inc. In 1989, Tom founded Rogue Wave Software, a leading provider of software solutions for creating and managing enterprise systems using object-oriented technology. Tom served as Rogue Wave's Chairman and CEO through 1998, leading the company to a successful IPO in November 1996. He remained Chairman of the company until 2002.
Tom received a PhD in Physical Oceanography from Oregon State University in 1980. Prior to Rogue Wave, Tom was on the faculty at the University of Washington and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, working on geophysical fluid dynamics. He is the author of numerous scientific and computer science articles and has served on the Board of Directors of several different startups.
