Support Engineer and Analyst, Customer Success

Description

Skytide Inc., is looking for an experienced senior engineer/analyst who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about leading the design, execution and strategy for best-of-breed, scalable, end-to-end enterprise reporting solutions. In this role you will support the direction, and feature set of key internal and customer facing, reporting and database technologies which provide solutions for the Global Support and Global Technical Operation teams. The candidate will closely work with our external customers and internal product managers to define the requirements and solutions needed to support key business processes in the area of Skytide Reporting and Analytics Applications.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Partner with business and IT representatives at all levels to assess, initiate, prioritize, refine, and drive appropriate technology solutions.
• Identify opportunities for optimization, or development of new solutions using Skytide platform.
• Assess infrastructures and applications and recommend solutions for upgrades or new technologies necessary to meet business needs.
• Manage a broad portfolio of technologies and ensure that they are all operating efficiently to meet business needs.
• Monitors industry trends to ensure the technology architecture is current with industry standards and new technology implementation.
• Acts as a subject-matter expert for solutions owned by the team.
• Act in an IT Business Analyst role for the development of knowledge management tools and custom business applications
• Be well versed in communicating with both business and technical peers.
• Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Bachelors Degree, with 7+ yrs related information systems experience.
• Experience with enterprise system implementations and solution architecture for global companies. Solid background in technologies that encompasses content management systems, analytics, portal technologies, application servers
• Experience with system implementation for global, multinational support operations
• Broad knowledge in information technology trends.
• Must have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.
• Ability to work with deadlines and in a fast paced environment.

Experience/Skills Desired:

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools or solutions a plus.
• Experience with storage technologies (MapReduce, SQL, OLAP)
• Experience with Java application stack.
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, structured change management
• Experience working on a team environment with Developers/SAs/DBAs/etc.
• Able to be on call, and work nights and weekends, as needed
• Prior experience leading and managing projects is a plus
• Excellent, creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge in information technology architecture components, principles, procedures and practices.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux is required
• Familiarity and exposure to Load Balancers is required.
• Understanding of CDN technologies
• Senior level support and management skills of Cisco routers, switches and IOS platform
